Sichuan cuisine, or "Chuan Cai," is one of China's eight major culinary traditions, known for its bold, spicy flavors using Sichuan peppercorns and chili peppers. Famous dishes include Kung Pao Chicken and Mapo Tofu.

OUR CHEF

Mr. Chen began his culinary journey at age 10, learning the secrets of Sichuan cuisine from his grandmother in their small village in Sichuan province. His passion for cooking led him to travel extensively across China, perfecting his craft under various renowned chefs. He later established a highly acclaimed restaurant in Chengdu, earning recognition in top culinary magazines.

As one of the first Chinese chefs in the UK, Chef Chen has already successfully opened two restaurants. Now, with the launch of his third establishment, Szechuan York, he aims to introduce York residents to the authentic and seasonal flavors of traditional Sichuan cuisine, offering a truly unique culinary experience.
